he Italian car design company Pininfarina has recently presented to the public, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Cambiano Concept.
After what was a very long teaser of the Italian concept car, Pininfarina has finally decided to reveal the Cambiano Concept at the Geneva Motor Show, announcing that the model is actually a luxury sports sedan-coupe, which was inspired by the 1957 Lancia Florida II. Pininfarina Cambiano and the Hyundai Veloster apparently have something in common and the Italian model is using the same door design as the South Korean vehicle, with a single door on the driver’s side and two doors on the passenger’s side.
While things like its technical details were kept in the shadows by now, we know that the Pininfarina Cambiano Concept is powered by a range-extended electric drive train, which is coming with four electric motors, each of them generating 82 horsepower, and a small diesel engine, which acts like a generator to recharge the batteries. The 0 to 100 km/h in the 1,700 kg (2,748 lb) car takes just 4.2 seconds and the model can hit a top speed of 275 km/h (186 mph). The Pininfarina Cambiano Concept has a total range of 200 km (124 miles).
